Garden City News features The Riddle of the Oil Thief reading at BookVille World PH

Before and since its release in June 2021, The Riddle of the Oil Thief by His Royal Majesty King Bubaraye Dakolo has received its share of media features from celebrated media houses in the country. These include such respected media as This Day Newspapers, The Guardian, Daily Independent; Nigeria Info Radio, Arise TV, and the nation’s official television house, NTA. Earlier this week, one of Port Harcourt’s thriving newspapers, Garden City News, joined the list.

This feature, however, is a special on a reading and signing session of the book, hosted by BookVille World PH, Port Harcourt City’s favourite bookstore and organisers of the annual literary festival, BAF. The event was held on the 23rd of October, 2021, and moderated by Tari Asoka. In the article, the event was described as “very interactive” and “a hybrid event with participation from attendees via Instagram and Zoom in addition to those who were physically present at the venue.”

In addition, Garden City News was full of praises for The Riddle of the Oil Thief.

The Riddle of the Oil Thief is highly recommended as it exposes the secrets of the oil thieves and the plight of the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.

During the book discussion, titled, Oil and Nigeria; The Bigger Picture, His Royal Majesty King Bubaraye Dakolo emphasized the need for Nigerians to expunge tribalism and focus on the root causes of the problems facing the country. According to him, understanding the root cause of the country’s problems is key to charting solutions.

Next, HRM King Dakolo will be discussing his book with lawyer, actress, novelist, playwright, and past winner of the Beeta Playwright Competition, Achalugo Chioma E. at the 23rd Lagos Book and Arts Festival with the theme, “A Fork in the Road”. Check out LABAF 23 for more details.
