Purple Shelves has been part of numerous publishing and literacy development.

In addition to being one of Nigeria’s leading editorial and publishing services provider, Purple Shelves is committed to literacy development, hence we situate and facilitate book clubs for schools across and beyond Lagos (in collaboration with the private and public sector), create reading resources for younger readers, and facilitate distribution of books, via our online and offline bookstore and in collaboration with leading bookstores in Africa.

Within few years of publishing, Purple Shelves has become home to the works of some of Nigeria’s finest writers who create different genres.

We are pleased to be associated with our authors who reside in the continent and in the diaspora, and we are proud of their works and how they are changing the Nigerian literary sphere, one book at a time.

We are also building a literary community by actively collaborating with other publishers, literary festivals, independent bookstores, and the corporate world. Hence, our titles are often featured as book of the month by celebrated book clubs, and our authors are regularly featured in local and international festivals like the prestigious Lagos Book and Arts Festival (Lagos, Nigeria), BookVilleWorld August Fair (Port Harcourt, Nigeria), Pa Gya Literary Festival (Accra, Ghana), Benue Book and Arts Festival (Makurdi, Nigeria) among many others.
