The Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) is the Federal Government’s chartered regulatory body for the practice of safety management in Nigeria. Established by the ISPON Act of 2014, the Institute holds the statutory authority to set standards, regulate, and advance the safety profession across all sectors of the economy. From its origins in 1980 as the Nigerian Society of Safety Professionals (NSSP), ISPON has evolved into the nation’s foremost authority on health, safety, and environmental practice.
