Eric Ngalle Charles is a Cameroon-born writer, poet, playwright, actor, and activist based in Wales and has recently completed an MA in Creative Writing at Swansea University.

Following the publication of his autobiography, I, Eric Ngalle (Parthian, 2019), Eric was selected by Jackie Kay as one of the UK’s top ten BAME writers. He has recently been the special guest at the African Festival of Emerging Writers, Cardiff Seren Poetry Festival, and his short film Eric Ngalle: This is Not a poem is currently touring the UK.

Eric is one of the ‘Hay 30’ of young writers who will help shape the world over the next three decades and is a Ph.D. student at King’s College London.
