Actor, Producer and Writer

Ken Erics, born Ekenedilichukwu Ugochukwu Eric Nwenweh, is one of Nigeria’s celebrities’ film and television actors. He is also a producer, writer, and occasional musician. His 2012 portrayal of “Ugo” in the movie The Illiterate, endeared him to audiences and opened up more opportunities for him in the Nigerian Movie Industry.

 

Erics has since received many awards and prizes amongst which are: Best Actor of the Year, Male Actor of the Year, Best Supporting Actor, Best Lead Actor, and Best ‘On-Screen duo’, from recognized bodies like City People Entertainment Awards, Afrifimo Awards (USA), Golden Icons Movie Awards (GIAMA), Nollywood Ambassadors Awards, Golden Movie Awards, and South-South Achievers.

 

As a writer, Erics first published work CELL 2 has gained attention and has been used in many Nigerian tertiary institutions for stage productions and academic purposes.

 

Erics sings,  plays the guitar and keyboard, and has been involved in the production of several original movie soundtracks.

 

He holds a degree in Theatre Arts from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and a Master’s degree in Theatre and Film studies from the same institution.
