Deborah Chinonyerem Uzoma is a 2023 fellow of Ebedi International Writers Residency. She writes in three major genres (prose, drama and poetry).
My Father’s House and Other Poems is her debut children’s literature. Her works have appeared in various publications including the ANA Review Series, The Muse, Ogele, Libretto Magazine, Everychild Lifeline Magazine Canada, among others.
As an enthusiastic scholar and writer, Deborah has numerous awards to her credit including the 2024 certificate for participating in the Ideal Urban Futures competition (Children’s short story on the environment) The Brain Tracy Certificate of Recognition 2021, winner of the 1st Drama Point of Focus workshop of the Association of Nigerian Authors and Alex-Ekwueme Federal University of Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo 2018; NYSC Ebonyi State Honours Award 2017, among others.
